About Captain Americas Grafton Street

Bright neon signs and a casual, bustling vibe set the tone at Captain Americas Grafton Street, reflecting its American diner inspiration with a clear nod to classic Americana. The lively atmosphere buzzes with the chatter of patrons diving into generous portions, while the walls are adorned with colorful decor that often appears in various Captain Americas Grafton Street photos shared online. Although the space can feel a bit crowded during peak hours, the energy complements the unpretentious nature of the restaurant and its approach to comfort food.

Among the highlights on the Captain Americas Grafton Street menu, towering burgers and loaded fries stand out for their hearty flavors. Sides come with just the right amount of seasoning, striking a balance that supports the main dishes without overpowering them. However, some choices may veer towards the heavier side, which might not suit those seeking lighter fare. Reviews from frequent diners tend to praise the portion sizes and consistent quality, although there are occasional mentions of slower service when the restaurant is especially busy.

Experience suggests that this American restaurant offers a casual dining option with reliable staples that cater well to group outings or informal meals. Pricing aligns with the generous nature of the dishes, delivering decent value for portions that satisfy substantial appetites. While not necessarily a destination for gourmet exploration, Captain Americas Grafton Street manages to maintain a steady appeal through its menu variety and spirited environment, making it a noticeable presence among other eateries in Dublin 2.

Hidden gem at the top of Grafton Street. Initially interested in the name, but a really good option to have some tasty American styled food. Everything was so great and delicious, and the best of all was the service. The Spanish waiter was really kind and made us feel really comfortable, 5/5 service by him and his colleague. Would definitely recommend it!

Lovely staff. Our waitress Eimear was so nice, as was the manager and the other staff. Extensive menu. Great food and drink deals with a student card. €5 vodka splash. Nice ambience. Karaoke on Wednesday if you're into that. Looking forward to return.

I had not been here in a long long time. Not since the good old days. My expectations were low. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived at 130pm on a Saturday with 9 kids age 11 to celebrate a birthday. The staff could not have been more genuine and lovely including the manager. You can tell they are a tight unit and really enjoy working together. The orders were taken promptly by the friendly Alex who made jokes with the kids as he went. The food arrived quickly and it was very good. All the kids loved it. I enjoyed my burger and fries, good quality meat and fresh salads on the bun. There was also a lovely lady who paints faces and does balloon art for the patrons. We didn't expect that but it made the birthday for us. What a wonderful treasure she is indeed. Also, the whole team including the manager sang happy birthday to our daughter!! All in all, far far exceeded my tempered expectations. The place is clean and clearly well run by a team who enjoy their jobs. They were all so nice. That really does make such a difference to a restaurant experience. The food was good but the experience was even better. Thanks Alex and Leona and team. We will visit again for sure. Great job guys!!!
